ABOUT
Arianna’s work aims to improve the understanding of the pathophysiology of disorders of consciousness. Arianna uses a multi-level molecular neuroimaging assessment to investigate patterns of hypometabolism and brain (dis)connectivity in patients with disorders of consciousness, based on [18F]FDG-PET combined with multivariate methods of analysis. Integral to her post-doctoral project is the evaluation of the diagnostic and prognostic value of these multivariate indices, with the aim to improve differential diagnosis and prediction of recovery in patients with disorders of consciousness.
